UPDATE: macOS 15.2 brings extensions configuration interface back into System Settings, where it belongs. It was removed in early versions of in macOS Sequoia probably due to a bug. This makes FinderSyncer application obsolete and unnecessary. However, if you prefer to use it for its simple and clean interface, you're welcomed to do so, it will continue to work.
Apple removed the Finder Sync extensions configuration interface from System Settings in macOS 15 Sequoia. Managing these extensions is possible only using the command line tool pluginkit
. Wouldn't it be great to do the same from the neat graphical UI, like before? Meet FinderSyncer!
FinderSyncer lists all Finder Sync extesions currently registered in your copy of Sequoia and provides a simple switch to enable or disable any of them. Just like you used to do it in System Settings (or System Preferences on macOS 12 and earlier).
I hope this tool will be very short lived and that Apple will return similar settings into the System Settings application, where it really belongs. Until then, enjoy FinderSyncer.
